brick calculation for 9″ and 4″ wall per sqft

Calculate number of brick per square foot area, in this topic we know about brick calculation for 9″ and 4″ wall per sqft (square foot area) in brick wall. How to Calculate Number of Brick Per Square Foot Area

in this topic we know that brick calculation for wall and how to calculate number of bricks per square foot in 9 inch wall and 4 inch wall.

we know that Bricks have many different measurement but we have taken a standard Indian brick size in mm is 230 mm ×115 mm×75 mm

Brick Calculation for 9 inch wall per sqft

how to calculate number of bricks per square foot in 9 inch wall

● Solve :- in this topic we have to calculate number of bricks per square foot in 9 inch wall, we should have taken Indian Standard brick size which is-

How to calculate number of bricks per square foot in 9 inch wall
Brick size

 Indian Standard brick size:-             = 230mm×115mm×75mm

We should convert millimetre into metre        = 0.230m×0.115m×0.075m

Volume of brick= 0.230m×0.115m×0.075m                           = 0.00198 m3

We have taken mortar size of 10 mm which are required for joining  the brick wall formation

How to calculate number of bricks per square foot in 4 inch wall
Brick wall

Size of brick with mortar=240mm×125mm×85mm

Volume of brick with mortar in metre cube = 0.240m×0.125m×0.085m =0.0025m3

Given:- Area of brick wall 1 feet square and the thickness of wall is 9 inchVolume of 9 inch brick wall of 1 square feet area

Vw = 1 ft2 × 9″

Volume = 1 ft2 × 0.75 ft =0.75 cft

We should convert value of brick wall in metre cube

  Volume = 0.75/35.3147 = 0.02123 m3

We have to calculate number of bricks in 9 inch wall so we have formula for brick calculation is divide volume of wall by  volume of one brick with mortar

Formula for brick calculation is used to find out number of bricks calculation

Number of bricks calculation = volume of wall÷ volume of one brick with mortar

Number of brick = 0.02123/0.0025 =8.432

Consider 5% wastage  of bricks during transportation and storage

Wastage = 8.432×5/100 =0.4216

Total number of bricks=8.432+0.4216 = 8.8536 nos

Volume of 4 inch brick wall of 1 square feet area

    Vw = 1 ft2 × 4″

We have to calculate number of bricks in 4 inch wall so we should divide  volume of wall by  volume of one brick with mortar

Number of bricks= volume of wall÷ volume of one brick with mortar

Number of brick = 0.00942/0.0025 =3.768

Consider 5% wastage  of bricks during transportation and storage

Wastage = 3.768×5/100 =0.1884

Total number of bricks=3.768+0.1884 = 3.9564 (approx)

4 nos brick are present in 4 inch brick wall per sqft
