According to Indian standard size of brick have dimension 230×115 ×75 mm

● thickness of cement mortar:- in brickwork cement mortar is used for adhesive material and increasing their strength that is mortar thickness. Thickness of cement mortar in brickwork is about 10 to 12 mm is being used.
More than 12 mm thickness of motor cement reduce the strength of brick wall so it might not be used.

brick calculation for 1 m3 brick wall
*Given:- for brick calculation we have given following measurement
Size of one brick=230 ×115 ×75 mm
( according to Indian standard size)
Volume of brick wall =1m3
Thickness of cement mortar=10mm
*Solve:-
We have to add cement mortar thickness that is 10 mm in each measurement of brick dimension.
Size of one brick with mortar
=240×125×85 mm
now we convert into metre
=0.240×0.125×0.085 m
Volume of one brick with mortar
=0.240×0.125×0.085 m3=0.00255m3
Number of brick= volume of brick wall/ volume of 1 brick with mortar
Number of brick=1/0.00255=392 nos
392 nos number of bricks required for construction of 1 cubic metre ( 1m3) brick wall.
