How many pillars required for house

How many pillars/ column required for house | how many pillars do i need to build a 2000 sq ft, 2500 sq ft, 3000 sq ft, 2400 sq ft, 2200 sq ft, 1800 sq ft, 1600 sq ft and 1500 sq ft house construction | number of pillar do i need for 80×35, 50×30, 60×40, 50×40, 40×40 plot

A RCC or reinforced concrete column is a compressive structural member of concrete that designed to carry compressive loads, composed of concreting material (mixture of Portland cement, sand, aggregate or stone with water) with an embedded steel of different diameter such as 12mm, 16mm, 20mm and so — frame to provide reinforcement.

Pillars/ rcc column and beams give strength to a building to withstand all the loading condition and adversities of the climate over the years and stand tall for several decades together. But if the pillars and beams are placed in the wrong place, they can create adverse effects on the occupants of the house.

A wrongly built pillar or column may considerably hamper the growth of your family members both in the short and the long run and also may create disputes amongst the family members. Thus, Vastu for pillars has to be necessarily followed for a favorable outcome.

Number of pillars as per Vastu required for house construction should necessarily have an even number of pillars in your house for prosperity and peace. If there are an odd number of pillars in your house, you should try to build one more and make the number to be even. This is a strong suggestion as per the Vastu for pillars in house

There are different types of columns used in construction such as RCC column, long column, short column, timber columns and tied column etc. But todays, RCC column are mostly preferred and use as structures member for support and resist the load that acting on it, because it is economical and also resist more load easily.

Column size:- generally the size of column should not be less than 9” x 9” inches (230mm × 230mm) in respect to their width and depth for one storey/ first floor/ ground floor building with 4 bars of 12mm Fe500 Steel with m20 grade of concrete and stirrups of [email protected]″C/C.

How many pillars/ column required for house

When we go through the column design we should mention following point: 1) the possible distance or span and depth it all depend on load to which the beam is subjected, 2) column size depend on amount of load on the column acting on it by beam and RCC slab, 3) many axial and Lateral load acting on column, 4) large span greatly influence the bending moment not only on beam, but it also affect the column due to stress acting on it, 5) Thumb Rule for column design are appropriate for very small project like G+1,G+2 & G+3 Building and 6) column design for building construction it depend on many factors like topography, whether and size of building.

Others factors also influence the total number of pillars required for house construction are ground load bearing condition, purpose of the building, occupation density, height and levels of the building, specific neighbourhood & location where built, climatic & other geographical conditions, expected life of the building and duration of use, facade & other architectural design factors & requirements, materials for structural works, external & partition walls if any and materials for finishing and interior. Plumbing & electrical requirements if any.

If you provide heavy designed columns and beams to the structure then number of columns can be less. In your case : for 1400 sq ft house you have to provide atleast 15 to 20 columns to enhance stability in house. 5 columns in three or four row . For normal regular design needed 3X5=15 nos minimum or 4×5 = 20 nos columns maximum.

Number of pillars required for 1500 sq ft house:- 1500 sqft of house may be of size 50’x30’, for 1500 sq ft house you have to provide atleast 18 pillars /columns. Provide the 6 pillars at span of 10 feet in 3 rows (total No. of pillars = 6×3 = 18 nos) parallel to 50 feet side to enhance stability in house construction for your one storey (G+0), two storey (G+1), three storey (G+2) building.
