The mix proportion for M25 concrete is typically 1:1:2, where 1 is the ratio of cement, 1 is the ratio of sand, and 2 is the ratio of coarse aggregate. This means, for every 1 part of cement, you would need 1 parts of sand and 2 parts of coarse aggregate. The exact quantities would depend on the total volume of concrete you want to produce.

Hi guys in this article we know about how much cement sand & aggregate required per 1m3 of m25 grade of concrete & also know about how much cement required for M25 concrete & how to calculate cement sand aggregate required for 1 cubic meter of m25 grade of concrete.

**Different grade of concrete** like M25, M20, M15, M10, M7.5 & M5 are nominal mix grade of concrete in which M represent mix and numerical figure 25, 20, 15, 10,7.5 & 5 are characteristics of compressive strength of concrete gain strength time period of 28 days after curing.

● Table 1 :- different grade of concrete and their compressive strength in N/mm2.

● **Understanding grade of concrete**:- Grades of concrete are defined by its strength and composition of the concreting material cement sand and aggregate and the minimum strength the concrete should have following 28 days of initial construction. The grade of concrete is understood in measurements of N/mm2 or MPa, where M stands for mix and the MPa denotes the overall characteristics of compressive strength.

● **Concrete grade types** :- there are three types of concrete grade 1) normal grade of concrete, 2) standard grade of concrete& 3) high strength concrete grade. Normal grade of concrete are based on nominal mix ratio of cement, sand and aggregate have comparatively lower compressive strength than standard grade of concrete.

**Normal grade of concrete** are M25, M20, M15, M10, M7.5 & M5 generally based on nominal mix proportion of cement sand and aggregate.

**Standard grade of concrete** are M25, M30, M35, M40, & M45 are made according to design mix have higher compressive strength than normal grade of concrete.

**High strength concrete grade** are M50, M55, M60, M65, & M70 are made according to design mix have higher compressive strength than normal and standard grade of concrete.

According to nominal mix concrete IS456 code book suggest that minimum grade of concrete is M20 which are used for RCC work and M5, M7.5, M10 and M15 are not used for RCC work, generally lower grade of concrete are used in mass concreting, formation of heavy wall, ground filling, retaining wall formation and all PCC work.

**Standard grade of concrete** and high strength concrete are used to construction of high rise building, industrial building, commercial building, residential building, apartment, Bridge, dams and heavy structure.

● Table 2 :- different grade of concrete and its types

● Cement sand and aggregate mix ratio in concrete :- there are two types of mix ratio in in different grade of concrete 1) nominal mix & 2) design mix.

**Nominal mix concrete IS456 code book** suggest lower and normal grade of concrete like M25, M20, M15, M10, M7.5 & M5 have fix cement sand and aggregate ratio.

**Design mix concrete IS 456 code** book suggest that standard and high strength concrete grade are made according to different types of considering factor like load bearing structure, earthquake resistance, bending moment of column, Environmental factors and quality of cement sand and aggregate.

M25 concrete ratio for 1 cubic meter is (cement: sand: aggregate): 1:1:2 indicates 1 part of cement mixed to 1 part of sand mixed to 2 parts of aggregate. Typically, 1 m3 of M25 concrete consists of 11 bags of 50 kg of cement, 620 kg of sand and 1150 kg of aggregate.

**M25 concrete ratio:-** M stand for mix and numerical figure 25 is compressive strength of concrete is 25N/mm2 for curing time of 28 days and M25 concrete ratio is 1 : 1 : 2, mixture of cement, sand and aggregate in which one part is cement, 1 part is sand and 2 part is aggregate or stone mix with water.

**M25 concrete mix ratio:-** M stand for mix and numerical figure 25 is compressive strength of concrete is 25N/mm2 for curing time of 28 days. **M25 concrete mix ratio** is 1:1:2, made of mixture of cement, sand and aggregate in which one part is cement, 1 part is sand and 2 part is aggregate or stone mix with water.

Calculating quantity of cement, sand and aggregate required for 1 cubic metre of m25 concrete we have given following:-

For converting wet volume to dry volume of concrete we will multiply 1.54 in wet volume of concrete, now question is why we multiply 1.54 in wet volume of concrete. When mixture of cement, sand and aggregate mix with water, the number of air voids present in dry ingredient are evaporated in wet condition when mix with water so their volume is decreased by 54% in wet condition, so dry volume of concrete is increase by 54% of wet volume.

Dry volume of concrete is equal to 1× 1.54 = 1.54 m3 ( cubic meter)

● **S****tep 2 :-** m25 nominal mix ratio is 1:1:2,in which one part is cement, one part is sand & two part is aggregate, then total mix proportion is equal to 1+1+2 = 4, and part of cement is equal to 1/4, part of sand is equal to 1/4 & part of aggregate is equal to 2/4

**Weight of sand and aggregate required for 50 kg cement bag for m25 concrete grade**

1) weight of sand & aggregate required for 50 kg cement bag for M25 grade of concrete

As we find 11 bags of cement,624 kgs sand & 1194 kgs aggregate for 1 cubic metre of m25 grade of concrete.

Hence 11 bags cement = 620 kgs sand

For 1 bag of cement = 620/11= 57 kgs sand

Hence 11 bags of cement = 1150 kgs aggregate

For 1 bag of cement = 1150/11 = 105 kgs aggregate

Typically, 57 kg of sand and 105 kg aggregate are required per 50 kg bag of cement for m25 grade of concrete. Thus, You would need 57kg Sand and 105kg aggregate per 50kg bag of cement to make M25 concrete.

Why different ratio in m25 grade(cement, sand, aggregate) step 1,2,3,4 whts this

is 0.77m3 = 36cft? look at your calculation for sand and aggregate in volume. why are you twisting it with density?
