Cost of 4.5 inch thick brick wall per square foot in India

This calculation is multi step process solve in following steps:-

Volume of brick wall:- consider we have 100 square foot area of brick wall and their thickness is 4.5 inch, 4.5 inch into foot =4.5/12 = 0.375 foot, volume = area × thickness, volume of brickwall = 100×0.375 = 37.5 cubic feet, so volume of brick wall = 37.5 cft.

Volume of 1 brick:- brick size in inches is 8×4×4, convert inch into foot that is 0.667 × 0.334 × 0.334, volume of one brick = 0.667 × 0.334 × 0.334 = 0.0744 ft3, so volume of 1 brick = 0.0744ft3.

Volume of brick with mortar:– consider cement mortar thickness is 0.4 inch, add this thickness in each dimension of brick, we get brick size with mortar = 8.4″×4.4″×4.4″, convert inch into foot that is 0.7 × 0.367 ×0.367, volume of brick with mortar = 0.7′ × 0.367′ ×0.367′ =0.094ft3, so volume of 1 brick with mortar = 0.094ft3.

Number of bricks in 100 sq ft 4.5″ thick brick wall:- no of bricks = volume of brickwall/volume of 1 brick with mortar, number of bricks = 37.5/0.094 = 399, so 399 nos bricks required for construction of 100 square foot 4.5″ thick brick wall.

Cost of bricks:- in India rate of bricks is around INR 7000 per 1000 bricks, cost of 399 bricks = (399/1000)×7000 = INR 2793.
