How to calculate water tank capacity in gallons

How to calculate water tank capacity in gallons | rectangular water tank capacity in gallon | circular water tank capacity in gallon

Now first try to understand estimation of water requirement based on Number of persons and per capita demand, it not depend on how size is home. Do you think a huge quantity of water used for flush of toilets, taking showers and baths, washing your cloths and utensil, cocking food, drinking and others domestic purpose.

How to calculate water tank capacity in gallons

Generally capacity of water tank is volume of water that tank can hold, volume measured in cubic feet, cubic metre, litres and gallons. In United States, capacity of water tank measured in gallons, in this article we try to know about how to calculate water tank capacity in gallons.

The volume of water tank in cubic feet is equal to the area of tank multiply by their height, such as volume = Area × height, the capacity of water tank in gallons is equal to the volume in cubic feet multiply by 7.5 gallons per cubic feet.

How to calculate water tank capacity in gallons

Regarding this, how to calculate water tank capacity in gallons, generally in United States, water tank capacity measured in gallons, you can calculate water tank capacity by multiplying volume of water tank in cubic feet by 7.5 gallons per cubic feet, such as capacity = Volume in CF × 7.5 gallons.

For Rectangular Water Tank Capacity

To find the capacity of rectangular water tank in gallons, you can calculate rectangular water tank capacity by multiplying volume of water tank in cubic feet by 7.5 gallons per cubic feet, such as capacity = Volume in CF × 7.5 gallons.

● Measures the each dimension of rectangular water tank, suppose a tank 10 feet long by 6 feet wide by 5 feet height

● Calculate the area of rectangular tank by multiplying Length and width, such as Area = length × width, 10 ft × 6 ft = 60 sq ft

● Calculate volume of rectangular tank by multiplying area and height, such as volume = area × height, 60 sq ft × 5 ft = 300 CF

For Circular Water Tank Capacity

To find the capacity of circular water tank in gallons, you can calculate circular water tank capacity by multiplying volume of water tank in cubic feet by 7.5 gallons per cubic feet, such as capacity = Volume in CF × 7.5 gallons.

● Measures the each dimension of circular water tank, suppose a tank 5 feet diameter by 6 feet height

● Calculate the area of circular tank by multiplying the square of diameter by 3.14 (π) divided by 4, such as Area = π D^2/4, 3.14 × 5×5/4 = 19.625 sq ft

● Calculate volume of circular tank by multiplying area and height, such as volume = area × height, 19.625 sq ft × 6 ft = 118 CF

● To determine the capacity of circular water tank in gallon, you multiply volume of tank in cubic feet by 7.5 gallons per cubic feet, capacity = volume in CF × 7.5 gallons, capacity = 118 × 7.5 = 885 gallons, this is capacity of circular water tank in gallons.
