How to calculate size of circular water tank and its capacity,size of circular water tank, in this topic we will learn about how to calculate size of circular water tank and its capacity.

In a small residential building you have to used to stored water in water tank various purpose like cooking ,drinking, bathing, using toilets cleaning clothes, cleaning house cleaning utensils and many purpose.

Water tank may be made in various shape and size like a rectangular water tank and circular water tank storing water. But in this topic we know about size of circular water tank and its capacity.

How to calculate round water tank capacity in litres? Round water tank volume Capacity = 2000 litters, such that volume (V) = 2m3 and diameter of round water tank is 1m, we can calculate its capacity in litres by using formula volume of round water tank (V) = π r2 h, where v is volume, r is radius 1/2 = 0.5m and h is height. Solving V = π r2 h, 2 = π (0.5)2 h, 2 = (3.14) x (0.25) h, 2 = 0.785 x h, h = 2/0.785= 2.55m, so radius 0.5m and height 2.55m of round water tank has capacity of 2000litres.

Assume we have need 2000 litre of capacity of circular water tank, how we calculate size of circular water tank

Given capacity of circular water tank

= 2000 litre

We know that 1000 litre = 1m3

2000 litre = 2×1m3= 2m3

Volume of circular water tank = πr2h

Where V= volume of circular water tank

r = radius of circular water tank

h = height of circular water tank

π =pie = 3.14

Both dimension radius and height of circular water tank is not given so we should assume One dimension radius or height of circular water tank

We assume diameter = 1 meter

Radius = diameter/2 = 1/2 = 0.5 m

Putting the value of all given dimension volume radius and height

Volume = πr2h , π = 3.14

2 = 3.14 ×( 0.5)2 ×h

2 = 3.14 × 0.25 × h

2 = 0.7850 × h

Height = 2/0.7850 = 2.547 meter

So we have to need 2000 litre of circular water tank capacity size of circular water tank is

Volume = 2000 litre = 2 m3

Diameter of water tank = 1 m

Height of water tank = 2.547 m

= 10000 litre

We know that 1000 litre = 1m3

10000 litre = 10×1m3= 10m3

Volume of circular water tank = πr2h

Where V= volume of circular water tank

We assume diameter = 3 meter

Radius = diameter/2 = 3/2 = 1.5 m

Putting the value of all given dimension volume radius and height

Volume = πr2h , π = 3.14

10 = 3.14 ×( 1.5)2 ×h

10 = 3.14 × 2.25 × h

10 = 7.065 × h

Height = 10/7.065 = 1.415 meter

So we have to need 10000 litre of circular water tank capacity size of circular water tank is

Volume = 10000 litre = 10 m3

Diameter of water tank = 3 m

Height of water tank = 1.415 m
