How to calculate cement sand and aggregate quantity in m15 concrete

How to calculate cement, sand and aggregate quantity in m15 concrete,quantity of cement sand and aggregate in m15 concrete ,in this topic we know about how much cement, sand and aggregate quantity are used in m15 of 1m3 concrete.

We know that concrete is mixture of cement sand and aggregate in fixed proportion, there is a several grade of concrete like M10, M15 ,M20 m25 and so on, but in this topic we only know about m15 grade of concrete

● What is m15 grade of concrete?:-in m15 grade of concrete M stand for mix and numerical figure 15 is stand for comprehensive strength of concrete which is gain in 28 days of curing time.

● m15 concrete ratio in 1 m3:- m15 concrete ratio in 1 cubic metre is mixture of cement, sand and aggregate by adding water. cement sand & aggregate ratio in m15 grade 1m3 concrete is  1 : 2 :4 in which one part is cement two part is sand and 4 part is aggregate.

● What is water cement ratio in M15?ratio of weight of water to the weight of cement is the water cement ratio which is about 0.4 to 0.6 as per IS code 10262 (2009) four different grade of concrete like M10, M15 ,M20 ,m 25 —

Cement sand and aggregate quantity in m15 of 1m3 concrete

How to calculate cement, sand and aggregate quantity in m15 concrete. Calculation steps are follows:-

1) calculate dry volume of concrete quantity in m15 concrete

2) calculate cement quantity in m15 concrete

3) calculate sand quantity in m15 concrete

4) calculate aggregate quantity in m15 concrete

5) calculate water quantity in m15 concrete

Calculate dry volume of concrete quantity in m15 concrete

Mix ratio = 1:2:4

Total P = 1+2+4=7

Part of cement = 1/7

Part of sand = 2/7

Part of aggregate = 4/7

Assume volume of conc. = 1m3

So wet volume = 1 m3

For converting wet volume of concrete to dry volume of concrete we will multiply 1.54 into wet volume of concrete.

Dry volume = wet volume × 1.54

Dry volume = 1m3× 1.54

Dry volume = 1.54 m3

● Ans. :- 1.54 m3 dry volume of concrete quantity in m15 grade of concrete

Calculate cement quantity in m15 concrete

Density of cement = 1440 kg/m3

Volume of cement = (1/7) 1.54 m3

Volume of cement = 0.22 m3

Weight = volume × density

Weight = (1/7) × 1.54 m3× 1440 kg/m3

Weight = 316.8 kg

1 bags cement = 50 kg

No of cement bags = 316.8/50= 6.336 bags

● Ans. :- 6.336 bags (316.8 kgs) of cement quantity are used in m15 grade of 1m3 concrete.

Calculate sand quantity in m15 grade of 1m3 concrete

1m3 = 35.32 cuft

Volume of sand =( 2/7) 1.54 × 35.32

Volume = 15.54 cuft

● Ans. :- 15.54 cu ft sand quantity are used in m15 grade of 1 cubic metre concrete

Calculate aggregate quantity in m15 grade of 1m3 concrete

Volume = (4/7) 1.54 × 35.32

Volume of aggregate = 31 cuft

● Ans. :- 31 cu ft aggregate quantity are used in m15 grade of 1 cubic metre concrete.

● Now question is how to calculate cement, sand and aggregate quantity in in m15 concrete, their answer will be as follow:-

● Ans. :- 6.336 bags (316.8 kgs) of cement, 15.54 cu ft sand and 31 cu ft aggregate quantity are used in m15 grade of 1m3 concrete.

4) water cement ratio :- weight of water to weight of cement is water cement ratio .water cement ratio for m15 grade of concrete is about 0.50

Volume of cement = 0.22 m3

1m3 = 1000 litre

Volume of cement = 0.22×1000=220 litre

Volume of water/volume of cement= 0.5

Volume of water= 220×0.5=110 litre

Number of cement bags = 6.336

Quantity of sand =15.54 cuft

Quantity of aggregate = 31 cuft

Quantity of water = 110 litre
