In UK and other European countries such as France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, spain, as per standard, width of single lane road or a car lane is varies 2.5m to 3.65m (8 to 12 feet) wide. In UK as per the Highways Agency’s guidance, standard width of single lane is 3.65m wide, a 3.7m width for a single dual carriageway lane and 3.65m for other road types.
