**Unit weight of steel in kg/m3**:- 7850 is the Unit weight of steel in kg/m3, it means when measured in cubic metre, 1m3 of steel weight is around 7850kg. Thus, 7850 kilograms per cubic meter is the unit weight of steel in kg/m3.

D^2L/533 steel bars formula are used to calculate weight of steel per foot, for example unit weight of 8mm diameter of steel = (8×8×1)÷533 = 0.12 kg/ft.

**Unit weight of steel 6mm**:- unit weight of 6mm dia of steel bars or rods is around 0.222kg per meter which is approximately equal as 0.0676 kg per foot. One piece of 12 meter (40 ft) length of 6mm diameter of steel rods weight is 2.664 kgs.

**Unit weight of steel 8mm**:- unit weight of 8mm dia of steel bars or rods is around 0.395kg per meter which is approximately equal as 0.12 kg per foot. One piece of 12 meter (40 ft) length of 8mm diameter of steel rods weight is 4.74 kgs.
