8mm Rod weight per piece, per meter, per foot. & per Bundle

8mm Rod weight per piece, per meter, per foot & per Bundle | 8mm Rod weight per piece | 8mm Rod weight per meter | 8mm Rod weight per foot | 8mm Rod weight per bundle | 8mm rod length | how many 8mm Rods make a ton.

8mm Rod or steel bar also known as Rebar is short form of reinforcing bar. It is steel Rod or Steel wire provided as tension bar in concrete structure. It is used in reinforced concrete structure such as column, beam, foundation, reinforced masonry structure, bridges, Dams and slab of house construction. It is used to enhance the tensile strength of concrete structure.

8mm Rod or steel bars or Reinforcing bar/rebar surface is often deformed with ribs to promote a better bonding with concrete material and reduce the risk of slippage. The most common Rods or Reinforcing bar/ rebar is carbon steel of hot rolled round bar with the deformation patterns, the Steel rebar/ Rod may be also coated with epoxy resin material, design to resist effect of corrosion mostly in saltwater environment.

As we know that different countries in the world have their own gradation, specification of Steel and record of measurement for reinforcing bar or Rods. First remember that rebar is measured differentially in United States and Europe. while the United states, it uses the Imperial measurement system. Europe and most of rest of world uses the metric system and measured in mm.

In this article we briefly explain 8mm Rod weight per piece: per meter, per foot. & per Bundle and how many 8mm Rods make a ton. This will help to viewers in better understanding and it is easy to choose the most suitable rebar or Rod weight per piece you wanted according to requirement.

Let us first know about length of one piece of 8mm Rod or steel bar, generally in India full length of one 8mm Steel bar or rod which are used in construction are available in 12 meter or approximately 40 feet long.

8mm Rod weight per piece, per meter, per foot. & per Bundle

The typical weight of 8mm Rod (steel, TMT bar) is about 4.6 kg per piece (for 12 meter or 40 feet full length), or 0.395 kilograms per meter, or 0.12 kilograms per foot, or between 45kg to 46kg per bundle. 1 Bundle of 8mm rod has 10 rods which weighs about 45 to 46kg. Approximately 22 bundles (or 220 pieces) of 8mm rods (steel bars) comes in 1 ton of steel.

8mm Rod weight per piece

To calculate 8mm steel rod weight for 1 piece, use the formula D^2.L/ 162 to figure out weight or mass for 1 piece 8mm rod in kg, where D is the diameter of steel rod and L is the full length for 12 meter and numerical figure 162 is the thumb rule number which is derived. For example 8mm steel rod weight per piece = D^2 L/162, (8×8×12) ÷ 162 = 4.6 kgs, hence 4.6 kg is the weight of 8mm steel rod per piece.

The typical weight of 8mm Rod (T8, steel, TMT bar) is about 4.6 kg (kilograms) per piece for 12 meter or 40 feet full length). Use the Formula D^2 L/162 to calculate weight of T10 Rod i.e. 8mm rod weight per piece = D^2 L/162 = (8×8×12) ÷ 162 = 4.6 kgs. Thus, 8mm Rod weight is about 4.6 kilograms per piece for 12 meter full length.

8mm Rod weight per meter

To calculate 8mm steel rod weight per meter, use the formula D^2.L/162 to figure out unit weight or mass of 8mm rod in kg per meter (kg/m), where D is the diameter of steel rod and L is the unit length for 1 meter and numerical figure 162 is the thumb rule number which is derived. For example 8mm steel rod weight per meter = D^2L/162, (8×8×1) ÷ 162 = 0.395kgs/m, hence 0.395 kg is the 8mm steel rod weight per meter.

The typical weight of 8mm Rod (T8, steel, TMT bar) is about 0.395 kg (kilograms) per meter (Or 0.395 kg/m for 1 meter unit length ). Use the Formula D^2 L/162 to calculate weight of T8 Rod per meter i.e. 8mm rod weight per meter = D^2 L/162 = (8×8×1) ÷ 162 = 0.395 kgs. Thus, 8mm Rod weight is about 0.395 kilograms per meter (Or 0.395 kg/m).

8mm Rod weight per foot

To calculate 8mm steel rod weight per foot, use the formula D^2.L/ 533 to figure out unit weight or mass of 8mm rod in kg per foot (kg/ft), where D is the diameter of steel rod and L is the unit length for 1 foot and numerical figure 533 is the thumb rule number which is derived. For example 8mm steel rod weight per foot = D^2L/533, (8×8×1) ÷ 533 = 0.12 kgs/ft, hence 0.12 kg is the 8mm steel rod weight per foot.

The typical weight of 8mm Rod (T8, steel, TMT bar) is about 0.12 kg (kilograms) per foot (Or 0.12 kg/ft for 1 foot unit length ). Use the Formula D^2 L/533 to calculate weight of T8 Rod per foot i.e. 8mm rod weight per foot = D^2 L/162 = (8×8×1) ÷ 533 = 0.12 kgs. Thus, 8mm Rod weight is about 0.12 kilograms per foot (Or 0.12 kg/ft).

8mm Rod weight per bundle

To calculate 8mm steel rod weight per bundle, use the formula D^2.L.N/162 to figure out weight or mass of 8mm rod per bundle in kg per, where D is the diameter of steel rod and L is the full length for 12 meter, N = 10 is number of 8mm Rods per bundle and numerical figure 162 is the thumb rule number which is derived. For example 8mm steel rod weight per bundle = D^2LN/ 162, (8×8×12×10) ÷ 162 = 46kg, hence 46kg is the 8mm steel rod weight per bundle.

The typical weight of 8mm Rod (T8, steel, TMT bar) is between 45kg to 46kg per bundle. Thus, 1 Bundle of 8mm rod has 10 rods which weighs about 45 to 46kg. Use the Formula D^2 LN/162 to calculate weight of T8 Rod per bundle i.e. 8mm rod weight per bundle = D^2 LN/162 = (8×8×12 ×10) ÷ 162 = 46 kgs. Thus, 8mm Rod weight is about 46 kilograms per bundle.

How many 8mm Rods make a ton

Each bundle of 8mm rod comprises 10 rods, and the 8mm rod weight is somewhere in the range of 45 to 46 kg. So, 22 bundles or approximately 220 pieces of 8mm rods make a ton (1000kg). Thus, 1 ton comprises approximately 22 bundles of 8mm rod.
