How to calculate weight of ms angle per meter,Unit weight of ms angle per meter, in this article we know about how to calculate weight of ms angle per meter and what is unit Weight of ms angle per metre and what is its weight calculation. MS angles are L- shaped structure made of steel represented by dimension of its sides and thickness.
MS angle have two parts flange and web. base and horizontal part of MS angle is known as flange and top vertical part of MS angle is known as web. It has equal sides for example 50×50×6 mm means both the sides flange and web of MS angle are 50 mm and their thickness is of 6 mm.
What is equal MS angle?
Equal MS angles they are the angles having both the sides flange and web having equal dimension. Further MS equal angles are divided into light angle, heavy angle ,unequal angle and rolled angle.
What is application of MS angle ?
MS angles are used for manufacturing and construction of Engineering structure and fabrication and in manufacturing industrial sheds and balancing of Plant Structure.
What is size of MS angle?
We know that MS angle consist of flange and web, it comes in several sizes ranging between 25×25×3 mm to 130× 130× 12 mm. Weight of ms angle calculated in in KG per metre or in KG per feet. Obviously higher dimension having higher weighted value and lower dimension having lower weight value. In this calculation we take the example of MS angle having dimension 75×75×6 mm

Unit weight of ms angle per meter
1) first we calculate volume of flange of MS angle
Size of ms angle = 75×75×6 mm
Width of flange = 75 mm =0.075 m
Thickness of flange = 6 mm=0.006 m
Length of flange = 1 m
Volume = l×b×h
Volume = 0.075×0.006×1 m3
Volume of flange= 0.000450 m3
2) volume of web
Size of ms angle = 75×75×6 mm
Width of web = 75_6 mm =69mm=0.069 m
Thickness of web = 6 mm=0.006 m
Length of web = 1 m
Volume = l×b×h
Volume = 0.069×0.006×1 m3
Volume of web = 0.000414 m3
3) total volume of MS angle
Total volume = volume of flange+ volume of web
Total volume = 0.000450 +0.000414 m3
Total volume =0.000864 m3
4) weight of ms angle
Weight = volume× density
Volume = 0.000864 m3
Density of steel = 7850 kg/m3
Weight = 0.000864m3×7850 kg/m3
Weight of ms angle = 6.78 kg/m
6.78 kg is unit weight of MS angle per metre
