Weight of ms plate formula Calculation and derive

We know that weight of ms plate is multiplication of their volume and their density. We know that the density of steel is 7850 Kg/m3 so that is weight of ms plate formula

So we have weight of ms plate = Volume × density

Hence weight = Volume × density

Now we understand that is the weight of ms plate formula

Now calculate the weight calculation for ms plate

How to calculate 6 mm ms plate weight

We have given thickness of ms plate = 6mm we convert in meter = 0.006 m

Length of ms plate = 1m

Width of ms plate = 1m

Area of ms plate = 1×1 m2 = 1 m2

Now volume = Area × thickness

Volume = 1m2 ×0.006 m = 0.006 m3

density of steel = 7850 Kg/m3

Now 6 mm ms plate weight  = volume ×density

weight of ms plate 6mm = 0.006 m3×7850 Kg/m3

weight calculation for ms plate 6mm = 47.1 Kg/m2

That is 6mm ms plate weight per sq.meter

Now calculate weight of ms plate 6mm per sq.feet

We know that 1m2 = 10.764 sq.ft

So weight of ms plate 6mm per sq.feet is

= 47.1/10.764 = 4.376 Kg/ft2

Weight of 6 mm thick ms plate is 47.1Kg per sq meter and 4.376 kg per sq foot.

How to calculate 6 mm ms plate weight

How to calculate 8 mm thick ms plate weight

We have given thickness of ms plate = 8mm we convert in meter = 0.008 m

Length of ms plate = 1m

Width of ms plate = 1m

Area of ms plate = 1×1 m2 = 1 m2

Now volume = Area × thickness

Volume = 1m2 ×0.008 m = 0.008 m3

density of steel = 7850 Kg/m3

Weight of ms plate formula = volume ×density

weight of ms plate 8mm = 0.008 m3×7850 Kg/m3

8 mm thick ms plate weight = 62.8 Kg/m2

That is weight of ms plate 8mm per sq.meter

Now calculate weight of ms plate 8mm per sq.feet

We know that 1m2 = 10.764 sq.ft

So weight of ms plate 8mm per sq.feet is

= 62.8/10.764 = 5.834 Kg/ft2

Weight of 8 mm thick ms plate is 62.8 Kg per sq meter and 5.834 kg per sq foot.

How to calculate 10 mm ms plate weight per square meter

We have given thickness of ms plate = 10mm we convert in meter = 0.010 m

Length of ms plate = 1m

Width of ms plate = 1m

Area of ms plate = 1×1 m2 = 1 m2

Now volume = Area × thickness

Volume = 1m2 ×0.010 m = 0.010 m3

density of steel = 7850 Kg/m3

Weight of ms plate formula = volume ×density

weight of ms plate 10mm = 0.010 m3×7850 Kg/m3

10mm ms plate weight per square meter = 78.5 Kg/m2

That is weight of ms plate 10mm per sq.meter

Now calculate weight of ms plate 10mm per sq.feet

We know that 1m2 = 10.764 sq.ft

So weight of ms plate 10mm per sq.feet is

= 78.5/10.764 = 7.29 Kg/ft2

Weight of 10 mm thick ms plate is 78.5 Kg per sq meter and 7.29 kg per sq foot.

How to calculate 10 mm ms plate weight per square meter

weight calculation of ms plate 12.5mm

We have given thickness of ms plate = 12.5mm we convert in meter = 0.0125 m

Length of ms plate = 1m

Width of ms plate = 1m

Area of ms plate = 1×1 m2 = 1 m2

Now volume = Area × thickness

Volume = 1m2 ×0.0125 m = 0.0125 m3

density of steel = 7850 Kg/m3

Now weight of ms plate 12.5mm = volume ×density

weight of ms plate 12.5mm = 0.0125 m3×7850 Kg/m3

weight of ms plate 12.5mm = 98.1 Kg/m2

That is weight of ms plate 12.5mm per sq.meter

Now calculate weight of ms plate 12.5mm per sq.feet

We know that 1m2 = 10.764 sq.ft

So weight of ms plate 12.5mm per sq.feet is

= 98.1/10.764 = 9.113 Kg/ft2

Weight of 12.5 mm thick ms plate is 98.1 Kg per sq meter and 7.29 kg per sq foot.

●Calculation:-

the question is how to calculate weight of mild steel plate you know that mild steel plate have three dimension of Length breadth and thickness we should first take measurement of its dimension:-

●Example1:-  how to calculate weight of MS plate with thickness 10mm

Given dimension of steel plate is following:-

                   Length L =1 m

                  Breadth B =1 m

             Thickness t = 10 mm

Now convert all dimension  in metre

               L =1m

               b = 1m

               t =10mm=0.01m

●Calculation:-

    Weight=Volume×density

   Density of steel =7850 kg/m3

   Weight = (l×b×t) ×7850 kg/m3

                 = (1×1×0.01) m3×7850 kg/m3

                 =0.01 m3×7850kg/m3

   Weight =78.50 Kg Ans.

●Example 2 :- now take the second example having mild steel plate dimension is  length 900mm, breadth 800 mm and thickness is 10 mm, now calculate the weight

●Given dimension:-

           Length =900 mm =0.9m

           Breadth =800 mm=0.8m

          Thickness =10mm         =10mm=0.01m

         Density of steel =7850 kg/m3

 Weight= Volume×density

● calculation:-

                 Weight   =(l×b×t)×density

                 Weight  =(0.9×0.08×0.01)m3×7850kg/m3

                Weight   =0.00072m3×7850kg/m3

                Weight   =50.652 Kg

 Weight of mild steel bar=50.652kg Ans.

Conclusion:

The weight of 1mm ms plate is 7.85 kg/m². The weight of 2mm ms plate is 15.7 kg/m². 6mm ms plate = 47.1 kg/m2, 8mm ms plate = 62.8 kg/m2, 10mm ms plate = 78.5 kg/m2, 12.5mm ms plate = 98.1 kg/m2
