The weight of a 16mm steel rod can vary slightly based on the specific density of the material used by the manufacturer. As a rough estimate, the weight of a 16mm steel bar is around 1.58 kilograms per meter, 0.48 kilograms per foot, 18.96 kilograms per piece, or 57 to 59 kilograms per bundle.
16mm Steel bar weight per meter and per foot, hi guys in this article we know about calculation of weight of 16mm Steel bar and 16mm steel rod weight per meter & also know about 16mm Steel bar weight per metre. calculation formula for steel weight per metre and per feet.
As we know that steel is load bearing material are used in construction line in field of industrial construction work, building construction, formation of bridge and dams superstructure of Industrial and commercial building, residential building and many types of construction in civil engineering.
Steel are used in RCC structure of building construction like Foundation footing, column beam and roof slab.
Many of us want to know how much weight of Steel bars require for house construction, we make approximate estimate and cost before starting construction by knowing 1 piece steel weight, length of Steel rod, number of Steel in one bundle, weight of Steel bar per foot and 16mm steel bar weight per meter & per foot.

Length of one 16mm TMT bar is approximately 12 metre or 40 feet, this help in calculation of steel weight. Number of TMT bar present in one bundle of 16mm size is 3
16mm steel bar weight per meter & per foot
Calculation of 16mm Steel bar weight we used formula for Unit Weight of Steel. Unit Weight of steel rod is define as weight of Steel bars per metre in kg or per foot in kg. So we used two formula calculation of steel weight.
16mm Steel rod weight calculation formula per metre in kg or per foot in kg help you to find weight of one bundle of 16mm Steel bar and weight of one piece of Steel.
The formula we are using for 16mm steel weight calculation are following:-
● 1) D^2 L/162 :- this formula are used for weight of Steel bars per metre in kg (m/kg)
● 2) D^2 L/533 :- this formula are used for weight of Steel bars per feet in kg (ft/kg).
Where D = diameter of Steel bar and L is length of Steel bar and numerical figure 162 used for weight per metre in kg and 533 used for weight per foot in kg.

16mm Steel bar weight per meter
16mm Steel rod weight per metre calculation we used the formula D^2 L/162 and per foot D^2 L/162. We know that 16mm dia of Steel bar have 3 number of Steel in one bundle and length of one piece of rod is 12 m.
Let us discuss 16mm Steel bar weight per metre in following steps:-
● Step 1 :- Calculating 16mm Steel bar weight per metre we used the formula D^2 L/162
If dia of steel = 16mm, length of steel rods = 1 meter, then weight of 16mm steel bar per meter = (16×16×1)/162 = 1.58 kgs, so 16mm Steel bar weight per metre is 1.58 kgs.
Now question “what is weight of 16mm Steel bar per metre” answer will be following:-
● Ans. 1.58 Kgs is weight of 16mm Steel bar per metre.

Calculating 16mm Steel rod weight per metre we used the formula D^2 L/162
If dia of steel = 16mm, length of steel rods = 1 meter, then weight of 16mm steel rod per meter = (16×16×1)/162 = 1.58 kgs, so 16mm Steel rod weight per metre is 1.58 kgs.
Now question “what is weight of 16mm Steel rod per metre” answer will be following:-
● Ans. 1.58 Kgs is weight of 16mm Steel rod per metre.
◆ step 2:- Weight of 1 piece of 16mm steel rod in kg
Calculating 16mm Steel rod weight per metre we used the formula D^2 L/162
If dia of steel = 16mm, length of 1 steel rod = 12 meter, then weight of 1 piece of 16mm steel rod in kg = (16×16×12)/162 = 18.96 kgs, so weight of 1 piece 16mm Steel rod is 18.96 kgs.
● Ans :- 18.96 Kg is weight of 1 piece (12m) 16mm Steel rod.
● step 3 :- Weight of 1 bundle of 16mm steel rod in kg
Calculating 16mm Steel bar weight we used the formula D^2 L/162
If dia of steel = 16mm, length of 1 steel bar = 12 meter, number of steel in 1 bundle =3,then weight of 1 bundle of 16mm steel bar in kg = (16×16×12×3)/162 = 56.89 kgs, so weight of 1 bundle 16mm Steel bar is 56.89 kgs.
● Ans :- 56.89 Kg is weight of 1 bundle (3 nos) 16mm Steel bar.
16mm Steel rod weight per foot
16mm Steel rod weight per foot calculation we used the formula D^2 L/533
● step 1 :- If dia of steel = 16mm, length of rods = 1 feet, then weight of 16 mm steel rod per feet = (16×16×1)/533 = 0.48 kgs/ft, so 16mm Steel rod weight per foot is 0.48 kgs.
● Ans. :- 0.48 Kgs weight of 16mm Steel rod per foot
● step 2 :- for length = 40 feet, so weight of 40 feet or 1piece 16mm steel rod = (16×16×40)/533 = 19.21 kgs, so weight of 1 piece of 16mm steel is 19.21 kgs
1 bundle = 3 nos, so weight of 1 bundle of 16mm steel rod = (16×16×40×3)/533 = 57.63 kgs, weight of one bundle of 16mm Steel is 57.63 kgs.
