Building foundation layout plan and process
* introduction:- in building foundation layout plan and process is important phase of building construction. Civil engineer decide to make plan and design of foundation according to load structure of building and type of soil like soft soil hard soil and Rocky surface. In foundation layout plan design consists of various procedure and step, first we should make the plan of building construction of residential or business purpose with help of civil engineer. make the plan and design of your house is per choice and estimate the quantity and cost of material like Steel sand cement and aggregate and labour cost .and in this topic we know only about building foundation layout plan and process.
* building foundation:- Foundation work is important is phase of building construction, Foundation design mainly based on load carrying capacity ,it is load bearing structure made in lower structure of building in earth soil. First we should decide the type of soil like hard soil soft soil and Rocky soil and sand soil then we should decide to make foundation process. There is a several step and procedure for building foundation layout:-
* Foundation layout process:–
1) Earth work excavation
2) sand filling
3)brick flat soling
5) RCC work of column
6) soil-sand filling
*1) Earth work excavation:- according to design and plan of building we should first dig out soil or make Earth excavation by labour or machine . We know that soil have many types like sand soil, hard soil ,soft soil and Rocky soil. We should keep in mind nature of soil while making the earth excavation. Generally Earth work excavation is done for foundation having dimension is about 5’×5’×5′ .
*2) sand filling:- second an important process for foundation layout work in sand filling we should place fine aggregate of sand upto 3 inch height in 5’×5′ dimension and level it all around the earth work excavation.
*3) brick flat soling:- after placing 3 inch sand level in earth excavation then we should place one layer of brick on flat site upto 3 inch height in dimension 5’×5′ .
*4) PCC work:- after placing one layer of brick soling make PCC work in mix ratio of 1:2:4 cement sand and aggregate and level it upto 4 inch height in dimension 5’×5′ .
*5) RCC work of column:- RCC work in important phase in foundation work .according to design of house we should use exact quantity of steel and concrete .generally concrete reinforcement is used in mix ratio of (1:1.5:3 )cement sand and aggregate .RCC work is done in rectangular trapezium shape -rectangular size is reduced by 3 inch from both side so it has a rectangular RCC dimension is 4.5′ × 4.5′ upto height of 6 inch and trapezium shaped RCC work having dimension upto 1 feet and column which are made have dimension 10″×10″ upto height of 2.5 feet.

*6) soil-sand filling:- remain space of earth work excavation is filled by soil sand mix upto ground level.
*7) ground leveling:- ground leveling is done by brick flat soling. 2-3 brick flat layer is placed over the ground which join the all column and give the shape of brick wall of building.
*8) plinth beam:- plinth beam RCC work is important phase for foundation work it is provided above the ground after brick flat soling.
*9) DPC layer:- it is damp proof Layer provided over the plinth beam to prevent brick wall from moisture .we know that due to capillary action of water it arises from the soil to brick wall ,we should provide a thick layer of 25 mm DPC layer over plinth beam.
