How do you calculate bricks per square foot

How do you calculate bricks per square foot, how many bricks per square foot,in this topic we will learn about how do you calculate bricks per square foot. We know that bricks have many size used in different country, but in this topic we will discuss about only standard size of bricks that is modular size of bricks used by civil engineer for their estimate of requirement of bricks in building construction.

By calculating bricks requirement per square foot we get average estimate requirement of bricks used in brick wall or different patio.

It is helpful to know about brick calculation and theire estimate of construction of house. By calculating bricks requirement per square feet it is easy to calculate bricks requirement for your project.

◆ modular size of bricks:- it is standard size of bricks for Calculation and make estimate by civil engineer. Modular size of bricks have length × width×thickness is about 8″×4″×4″

Size = 8″×4″×4″

Step 1

◆ 1 square foot :- we should convert 1 square foot area into inches

1 sq.ft = 12″×12″= 144″

◆ step 2

Area of 1 brick = length × width

Area of 1 brick = 8″×4″ =32″

◆ step 3

For calculating Number of bricks in 1 square foot area we divide 1 square foot area of project by area of one brick

No. of Bricks = 1 sq. ft area/ area of 1 brick

No. of Bricks = 144″/32″ =4.5

◆ Step 4

Your project area is about length is 14 feet and width is 10 feet than how much bricks you have needed

Area of your project = 14’×10’=140 sq.ft

Bricks per sq. ft = 4.5 than

Bricks for 140 sq.ft = 4.5×140 =630

we need 4.5 number of bricks per square foot area for your project for modular size of bricks
