How many bricks required for 10×10 (100 sq ft) room 4.5 & 9 inch brick wall

To calculate the number of bricks required for a 10×10 brick wall, we need to consider the size of the bricks and account for the mortar thickness. Standard brick dimensions are typically around 8 inches long, 4 inches tall, and 2.25 inches thick.

How many bricks required for 10×10 (100 sq ft) room 4.5 & 9 inch brick wall,hi guys in this article you will know about how many bricks required for 10×10 wall and also know about 10 × 10 room estimate and construction cost and how much bricks, cement and sand are required for one room. we know that bricks have many size we have standard brick of size that is modular brick.

Brickwork is masonry work produced by a bricklayer, using bricks and cement mortar. Typically, rows of bricks called courses are put on top of one another to build up a structure such as a brick wall. For wall construction red brick and AAC Block.

Calculating no of bricks required for construction of 10×10 room size we have a require no of bricks and quantity of cement and sand

According to thickness of brick wall there are three types of brick wall construction, 4.5 inch brick wall, 9 inch brick wall and 13.5 inch brick wall.

4.5 inch brick wall and 9 inch brick wall are in practice today in construction of high rise and low rise residential and commercial building and 13.5 inch brick wall are not in practice today but in some rular areas, some people might be built their house with 13.5 inch brick wall due to economic condition, they use in place of rcc column.

Question is how many bricks required for 10×10 (100 sq ft) room wall, it might be 4.5 inch wall, 9 inch wall and 13.5 inch wall. We calculate 10 × 10 room estimate and construction cost , how much bricks, cement and sand required in 100 sq ft for one room wall size of 4.5 inch,9 inch & 13.5. Door, window and ventilation size should be deducted.

How many bricks required for 10 × 10 (100 sq ft) room wall

Suppose we have given following

Height of room = 10 foot

Size of room = 10 ×10 sq ft

Area of single wall = 10 × 10 = 100 sq ft

Area of all four wall = 100 ft2×4 = 400 sq ft

Note:- door windows and ventilation should be deducted

Suppose door size = 7×3 = 21 sq ft

Window size = 4×3 =12 sq ft

Ventilation size = 1×1 =1 sq ft

Total deduction = 21+12+1= 34 sq ft

Net area of wall having brick

Area = 400 ft 2_ 34ft2= 366 sq ft

Net area of total brickwork = 366 sq ft

We have 4.5 inch, 9 inch and 13.5 inch brick wall

How many bricks required for 10×10 room of 4.5 inch brick wall

Area of brickwork = 366 sq ft

Size of brick wall = 4.5 inch

Size of one brick = 8″×4″×4″

Thickness of mortar = 0.5 inch = 12 mm

Size of brick with mortar = 8.5″×4.5″×4.5″

Volume of brickwork = 366 × 4.5/12 = 137.25 Cu ft

Volume of brickwork = 137.25 Cu ft

Volume of 1 brick with mortar = 8.5″/12× 4.5″/12 × 4.5″/12

Volume of 1 brick with mortar = 0.0996 Cu ft

no of bricks = volume of brickwork/ Volume of 1 brick with mortar

no of bricks = 137.25/0.0996 = 1378

Consider 2 % wastage during transportation storage & work

2 % of 1378 = 27.56 = 28 nos

Total no of bricks = 1378 + 20 = 1398.

if market rate of bricks = rs 7/brick

Total cost of bricks = 7× 2811 = rs 19677

Volume of brick = 8″/12 × 4″/12 × 4″/12 = 0.0741 cu ft

Volume of all bricks = 0.0741 × 2811 = 208.2 cu ft

Volume of mortar = 274.5 _ 208.2 = 66.3 cu ft

Wet volume of mortar = 66.3 Cu ft

For converting wet volume to dry volume we multiply 1.33 in wet volume of mortar

Dry volume = 66.3 × 1.33 = 88 cu ft

88 Cuft mortar = 2.5 m3

Cement sand ratio for brickwork = 1:5

Quantity of cement = (1/6) × 2.5 m3 × 1440 kg/m3

Quantity of cement = 598 kg = 12 bags

no of cement bags = 12

If market rate of cement = rs 400/ bags

Cost of cement = 12 × 400 = rs 4800

Sand quantity = 5/6 × 88 = 74 Cu ft

Sand rate = rs 60/ cuft

Cost of sand = 60 × 74 = rs 4400
