As we know that steel is load bearing material are used in construction line in field of industrial construction work, building construction, formation of bridge and dams superstructure of Industrial and commercial building, residential building and many types of construction in civil engineering.

Steel are used in RCC structure of building construction like Foundation footing, column beam and roof slab.

Many of us want to know how much weight of Steel bars require for house construction, we make approximate estimate and cost before starting construction by knowing 1 peice steel weight, length of Steel rod, number of Steel in one bundle, weight of Steel bar per foot and 6mm steel bar weight per meter & per foot.

Length of one 6mm TMT bar is approximately 12 metre or 40 feet, this help in calculation of steel weight. Number of TMT bar present in one bundle of 8mm size is 12

**8mm steel rod weight per feet & per meter**

Calculation of 8mm Steel bar weight we used formula for Unit Weight of Steel. Unit Weight of steel rod is define as weight of Steel bars per metre in kg or per foot in kg. So we used two formula calculation of steel weight.

8mm Steel rod weight calculation formula per metre in kg or per foot in kg help you to find weight of one bundle of 6mm Steel bar and weight of one piece of Steel.

The formula we are using for 6mm steel weight calculation are following:-

● 1) D^2 L/162 :- this formula are used for weight of Steel bars per metre in kg (m/kg)

● 2) D^2 L/533 :- this formula are used for weight of Steel bars per feet in kg (ft/kg).

Where D = diameter of Steel bar and L is length of Steel bar and numerical figure 162 used for weight per metre in kg and 533 used for weight per foot in kg.

8mm Steel bar weight per metre calculation we used the formula D^2 L/162 and per foot D^2 L/533. We know that 6mm dia of Steel bar have 12 number of Steel in one bundle and length of one piece of rod is 12 m.

Calculating 8mm Steel rod weight per metre we used the formula D^2 L/162, dia of steel = 8mm, length of steel rods = 1 meter, then weight of 8mm steel rod per meter = (8×8×1)/162 = 0.395 kgs, so 0.395kgs is weight of 8mm Steel rod per meter.

Calculating 8mm Steel rod weight per feet we used the formula D^2 L/533, dia of steel = 8mm, length of steel rods = 1 foot, then weight of 8mm steel rod per feet = (8×8×1)/533 = 0.12 kgs, so 0.12kgs is weight of 8mm Steel rod per feet.

Calculating 8mm Steel rod weight per piece we used the formula D^2 L/162, dia of steel = 8mm, length of 1 piece steel rod = 12 meter, then weight of 6mm steel rod per piece = (8×8×12)/162 = 4.74 kgs, so 4.74kgs is weight of 8mm Steel rod per piece.

Calculating 8mm Steel rod weight per bundle we used the formula D^2 L/162, dia of steel = 8mm, length of 1 piece steel rod = 12 meter, no of rods in 1 bundle is 12, then weight of 8mm steel rod per bundle = (8×8×12×12)/162 = 56.88kgs, so 56.88kgs is weight of 8mm Steel rod per bundle.

#summary :-

1) 8mm steel bar weight per meter is 0.395kgs

2) 8mm steel bar weight per feet is 0.12kgs

3) 1 piece 8mm steel rod weight is 4.74 kgs

4) 1 bundle (12 nos) 8mm steel rod weight is 56.88kgs.
