How many bricks required for 10×10 sq ft room

How many bricks required for 10×10 sq ft room,brick calculation for 100 sq ft room, in this topic we know about how many bricks in 100 square feet (10×10 sq ft ) room and cement mortar calculation for 100 square feet brickwork for room. we know that bricks have many size we have standard brick of size that is modular brick and second one is Indian brick size,

in this topic discuss about Indian brick size and calculate how many bricks required for 100 square feet room.

How many bricks required for 10×10 sq ft room
How many bricks required for 10×10 sq ft room

brick calculation for 100 sq ft (10×10) room

Suppose we have given following

Height of room = 11 foot

Size of room = 10×10 ft2

Area of single wall = 10×11 ft2

Area of single wall in room = 110 ft 2

Area of all four wall = 110 ft2×4=440 ft2

Note:- door windows and ventilation should be deducted

Suppose door size = 7×3 = 21ft2

Window size = 4×3 =12 ft 2

Ventilation size = 1×1 =1ft2

Total deduction = 21+12+1=34 ft 2

Net area of wall having brick

Area = 440 ft 2_ 34ft2= 408 ft 2

Suppose we have 4 inch wall having thickness 5 inch

Thickness of wall = 5 inch=5/12 feet

Volume of wall = 408ft2×5/12= 170 cu ft

Size of one brick = 9″×4.5″×3″

If mortar thickness = 0.5 inch

Size of brick with mortar = 9.5″×5″×3.5″

Volume of one brick= (9″/12)×(4.5″/12)×(3″/12)=0.070 cuft

Volume of one brick with mortar

= (9.5″/12)×(5″/12)×(3.5″/12)=0.096 cu ft

No.of bricks = volume of wall/volume of one brick with mortar

No.of bricks =170/0.096=1770 nos

1770 nos bricks are required in construction of 100 (10×10) sqft (square feet) brickwall of room

Cement mortar calculation for 100 sqft (square feet) brickwork

Total mortar for 1770 bricks

Mortar quantity= 0.096_0.07=0.026 cu ft

Total mortar = 0.026×1770= 46.02 cu ft

Suppose we have mortar ratio= 1:4

Total proportion = 1+4=5

Part of cement = 1/5

Part of sand = 4/5

In which one part is cement and 4 part is sand

1) cement quantity calculation

One bag cement = 50kg

Density of cement =1440kg/m3

1m3= 35.32 cu ft

Weight =(1/5)(46.02/35.32) m 3×1440 kg/m3

Weight of cement = 375 kg

No. Of bags = 375/50=7.5 bags cement

7.5 bags (375kg) cement are required for construction of 100 (10×10) square feet brick work of one room

2) sand volume calculation

Volume = (4/5)46.02=37cuft

37 cuft of sand quantity is required for construction of 100 (10×10) square feet brick work of room

Hence we have required following data for 100 square feet brick wall

1) nos of bricks = 1770

2) bags cement = 7.5

3) sand volume = 37 cu ft

1770 nos bricks,7.5 bags cement and 37 cuft sand is required for construction of 100 sqft (square feet) brick wall
